Since the summer of 2022, the GSCO / Grand Slam has differentiated the European mouflon from the pure Corsican Mouflon and the MAINLAND CORSICAN MOUFLON SHEEP. The GSCO has therefore defined an appellation area as follows:
Hunting all mouflons is quite demanding - I consider it to be one of the most technical among the mountain hunts:
- They are animals that move wider afield than the chamois;
- They are the wolf’s preferred prey and so are always on the look-out;
- As soon as they suspect the slightest problem, they take off and go far away.
- The trophy is the heaviest to bring back!!!
